MKoverton's Resolution
I recently gave birth to my first baby, Maria. She is beautiful and it was worth every ache and pain of pregnancy, but it's time to get back in shape. I lost 20 lbs before getting pregnant and was at my ideal weight. Now I need to lose 30 lbs to get back there and need a way to be accountable. I resolve to make the right decisions with regard to food (especially those pesky starches) and make working out a priority. I resolve to love my little one with all my heart and still make time for myself!

with each baby I lost all but 5 pounds ... said it didn't matter, I'd lose it with the next one ... 3 babies, fifteen pounds ... 23 years ... but I am determined, finally! You are smart to do it now. Good Luck!

skipped a workout ... ate too much chocolate ... got mad at one of my kids ... skipped another workout ... my car broke down ... skipped another workout ... can't seem to get started again ... but I saw you worked out, and if you can find time and the dedication with a baby, I should be able to, because nothing in my life is as demanding as that. So I am finishing planting 6 rose bushes, then doing my core plan. Except the walking. It's way too hot. Thank you for motivating me!

You are so wise to resolve to make time for yourself. It is so important. My son is nearly 3 yrs old and I am still not doing this well. You are re-inspiring me to make time for myself AND make time for my workouts! Hug that baby girl for us. :)

not a lot of luck yet on losing the weight, but it is turning to muscle, and my jeans are too big. So that is definitely progress! how are you doing? you sure are good about your workouts.

Hey!

I saw your shout in the locker and wanted to respond. First, awesome job logging workouts! =)

So, your fitness score does go down if the exercise was Hard or Too Hard. This is to make sure that you're always doing a weight which makes sense for you. That said, how you define "Hard" and "Too Hard" is entirely up to you. For example, my brother and I work out and really push each other, but still mark exercises as Just Right or even Easy.

I wouldn't focus so much on the number but just keep up the good work and stay motivated!

Nothing scarier than our babies getting sick ... to have a helpless baby stop breathing ... wow ... and you are a trooper too, because the hardest thing for a mom is the feeling of helplessness ... thank God you were there when it happened. I have been not exercising for various poor reasons. Your being back may motivate me to get going again. My son's engagement party in in Nov, and I want to look good for that too. School started last week, and all I have done is eat. there should be a saying "reach for a weight instead of your plate". There, now ther is one! I hope your baby keeps doing well. Knowing the problem is half the battle.

two week is a little too long to skip that workout. Besides your baby needs some entertainment watching momy jump around.

Wow, I know everyone keeps saying this, but you really ARE A motivation! You have a little one and can find time to work out. Today I had no motivation, and now that I do have motivation the gym is closed! Great job though, I'm proud and I don't even know you:)

I think it is time to get in some exercise. You can't lose weight by doing nothing. Hope your girl is doing great.

Back again...as it seems I've had to choose between time online and time studying (yep, going back for my masters). Still, although I've not been login in workouts I have kept them up and I'm down 10 lbs since when I started on here. Thanks for keeping me in mind and accountable. the next goal is 10 more lbs. It'll be tough during holiday season, but this is great support!
