SandraK's Resolution
I am here because I know it is time for me to start a weight loss regimen that will help me to feel better in every aspect about myself and my self image. I did this before when I got a divorce with out much outside help...I developed and stuck with a body-shaping plan that took me from a size 16 to an 8 in just 2 months. I watched how much I ate(still ate what I wanted) and exercised every day. I felt and looked great. That was at 38. Almost 10 years later, I am a size 14 and not very happy with myself, again. I would like to go down to a size 8 again. But i had a baby at 40 and with a c-section...I am concerned with my stomach muscles. Can they get flat again? AND I lack total motivation....and dedication. I came here to get that and to commit again. I want to do this!!!

Hey Sandra, welcome to FitResolution! I'm not sure what effect you are trying to have on your arms, but you might want to look into other forms of Push-Ups besides the regular ones. Hands close together and diamond hands both change the focus of the exerci

I have been doing my workouts faithfully and am beginning to see some results. I am so proud of myself! Each day 40 stomach crunches,30 each side crunches, push ups (15) and at least 30 minutes of stepping to music. Life is good!

I just wrote this to someone...I guess sometime you have to remind yourself of you stuggle...so since it was miine and I am trying it again...10 years later...I decided that I would keep this as a reminded to myself... Love, ME
I must admit...it was a combination of things...My divorce was hard, both mental and emotionally, so I probably wasnt eating like I should have...plus the DEDICATION. I knew I was leaving and I realized that I wasn't fat when we met...i could not leave FAT...so I was DETERMINED. I wanted to look good and especially the fat burning exercises which contained HIGH ENERGY DANCING for 30 minutes ( to MC HAMMER') Can't Touch This and others...video or Cd in ear phones work best AND STEPPING sometimes in place, sometimes on my stepper to HIGH ENERGY MUSIC...not stopping until I was sweating...then as I saw the results....I also did leg lifts and pushups and stomach crunches...Basically shaping my body as I went along to suit me and what I wanted to see more or less of...and arm lifts...to the side and back...you know what you need and where you need it, so sculpt it! I have to say I got obsessed and often worked out 2 times a day. Morning and evening. It just became a focal point. I did n't concentrate on weight...but inches. My clothes began to fit looser and looser. It was awesome. And before I knew it,I was there! Oh, I forgot,.....lots and lots of water.
Good luck and please stay in touch with me...you can do it!

thanks, Sandra. The thing I am finding best about this site is people like you, for support. It's different than finding someone to go with to the gym ... which never works for me. I think it's fun to log workouts, and now that I have one I like and seems to make a difference, I don't cheat and log the whole thing when I only want to do part. : ) I am trying to drink more water. It's easy in this heat, harder in the winter. HATE stepping. HATE cardio. Have been walking alot, but now it's too hot. So mostle I am doing the exercises in the core workout i am using, and am seeing a difference in my midsection, which is my problem. My arms aren't bad, because I have always worked them out ... but the lunges, crunches, twists, squats etc. are starting to pay off. stay in touch ... i'll add you to my "buddies" ...

Hey Sandra.

Just wanted to check in and see how things were going. Been a little while since you logged a workout, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help.

Best,

Zach

Hi Sandrak,
I saw your poston kristi forum. I would be interested in following this plan to go from my current size 12. If you can share your exercise routine wiht me, it will be very helpful. Thanks.

Hi SandraK, I've just signed up and want to get serious with a 40 pound loss. I don't mind working out, it's just that I leave it as the last thing I'll do, after doing everything else, so clearly I haven't made it a priority. My flab comes from taking in too many calories at night of both eating and drinking and not being attentive. I feel sure I could be successful if I refused to eat/drink anything but veggies and water after 6pm. If so, I'd be cutting out at least 1000 calories of nightly consumption. That way, I'd still get to choose what I like during the day, even if that happens to be - yikes - enchiladas. Yep, I am sure I could lose 2 pounds a week just by eliminating the night-time calories. Add a progressive exercise routine (increasing weights, time, speed) I feel I could do this. But at 55 years, and self indulgent, I'll need support (my own support of myself, too) and willingness to forego a bit of pleasure. Shall we proceed?

I have not been too faithful to the challenge I peomised to keep up months ago and now I have til Nov. to loose all this weight. I am rededicating myself to this. I could use some help and encouragement. PLEASE.....
